A few weeks ago the Georgia State Legislature (specifically, the House) proposed a budget that “zeroed out” or removed all funding for the Georgia Council for the Arts, endangering hundreds of programs and a sizable grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. I interviewed local arts activist Daniel Summers, Jr. (pictured above) for his thoughts on the issue and his participation in a march that took place April 19th.
